The  Middlefield Dog Park was  designed to be  a low maintenance, low cost park to operate. We were told in the  very beginning  that no taxpayer money could be used to build, maintain or  improve the dog  park. What you see was all done by volunteers. It is important to maintain a Contingency Fun.  With the location of the park being in the woods, it is only a matter of time before a branch takes out a section of fence.  The park would need to be closed until the repairs are made, and right now we have no extra money set aside to take care of this.

So many people made very generous  donations to construct the park, many of whom will never use the park. We are  asking those of you that are benefiting from  the park please make a small  donation to its ongoing operation.
